Stormwater Management
The Town Stormwater Management Plan
Through the Clean Water Act, all municipalities with populations over 10,000 people must create a Stormwater Management Plan. This document has been created with the input and cooperation of the Town Manager, Department of Public Works, Board of Health, and Conservation. The Plan plots the actions to be taken over the next five years to educate the community about the importance of keeping our stormwater outfalls clean. There are also many action items Town departments must implement to keep Tewksbury in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.

The Town of Tewksbury has been issued a permit from the EPA for Stormwater Discharge.

EPA Stormwater Program for Construction
As of May 2003, all construction projects must address stormwater control. There are thresholds that, if met, require the construction site to have an EPA Construction General Permit. There is more information about this permit and the Notice of Intent (NOI) click here.
