The Town Moderator presides over
Tewksbury's Open Town Meeting
. The Moderator is responsible for maintaining Town Meeting's rules of order, as described in Town Meeting Time, a parliamentary guidebook developed by the
Massachusetts Moderators Association
.
The Moderator also participates, with the Chairmen of the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee, in the appointment of Finance Committee members.
